Decide where the drain and duct will run
The second step is deciding where the condensate drain and ductwork will run.

After deciding which side to run the condensate drain on, position the furnace correctly. The furnace should slightly slope towards the exit of the condensate drain.
Ensure the air duct system is connected
After you position the furnace correctly, connect the furnace to the air duct system. Seal connections with duct sealant or foil tape. Avoid using duct tape as it doesn’t have a long duration.
Ensure that the gas supply is connected for your gas furnace. Ensure adequate ventilation and shutoff, and upon completion, check for leaks.
Connect the electrical supply
There are two types of electrical connections: a low and line voltage. The polarity is different for both connections. Ensure to wire the furnace as per manufacturer instructions.
The final step involves starting the furnace and running it through a heating cycle. Ensure temperature outputs are in the correct position as per the manufacturer. Double-check for leaks and that the drainage is operating correctly.
